North American Barbarians U19 Rugby 7s Team Headed for Dubai a Mix of Canadian and American Talent
The North America Barbarians Selects Under 19 team will compete in the Dubai 7s in the Under 19 International division Nov 30-Dec 2, 2017.
There are 7 Canadians and 6 Americans on the team. Four of the Canadian players have BC connections, Peyton Eagar and Keiran Marrett-Hitch came through the Cowichan junior program and Brandon Schellenberger through the CW junior program. Elliott Johnson currently plays with the James Bay Premier Reserves. Both Peyton and Brandon play in the BC Premier with Nanaimo and CW respectively. They also are part of the Thunder Aboriginal program and have played 7s for the Thunder at the U18 and senior level with Phil Mack - both were part of the Canada U19 tour to Wales in April.
The team has a group funding page to help offset the cost of the tour.

The coaching staff includes Cam Wilton of the Celtic Barbarians, Robin MacDowell who is the Canada U18 7s coach and Waisale Serevi, the king of 7s who operates the Atavus academy.
