Austin are the only team in the league to sit winless at 0-2, Utah being other winless team at 0-1. Austin have been at the bottom of our Prediction Rankings since preseason and need a win here to change our minds. They have one of the best opensides in the competition, Hanco Germishuys, but their defence has been wanting, giving up an average of 45 points per game while producing an average of 32 points per match.

NOLA has two Canadians playing, both in the front row, Hubert Buydens at prop and Eric Howard at hooker. The 36 year old veteran Buydens starts the bench today while Howard gets the start as vice-captain. NOLA have improved steadily using Houston as the benchmark. They lost big to Houston in preseason, then tied Houston in preseason and defeated them in the regular season. They gave up 25 points in that match.

The game will be streamed on the USMLR facebook page at 6pm PT.

Prediction: NOLA by 12.
