Canada A Defeats Ontario Arrows 58-28: Theo Sauder Gets First Look with Canada A XVs: VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
Probably the most noteworthy aspect of the game is that Theo Sauder finally got into the national team mix. BC Premier followers have known for several years that Sauder was destined for some backline position in the national XVs team, possibly even flyhalf. This was, as far as we know, his first call up to the Canada A side.
As expected the winning margin was greater than the first match with a slightly improved Canada A lineup including Nick Blevins in the centres. Gordon McRorie started in the #10 jersey. Next up for Canada is the June 9th test vs Scotland in Edmonton. The highlights of the warm up match are posted below.

The Canada Selects scored a 58-28 victory over the Ontario Arrows in the second of their two-match series at the home of Canadian rugby in Langford, BC.
Fans who made the trip to Westhills Stadium were treated with 80 thrilling minutes of running rugby, as both teams looked to give the ball some air.
Gordon McRorie was first to get on the scoresheet for the Canada Selects, as he crossed over in the left corner after some fine work by Ben LeSage. The Selects seemed to be in the mood for running and less than five minutes later McRorie's half-back partner crossed the white-wash to give the Selects a twelve-point lead.
The Arrows were next to score, as Kolby Francis dived over after a good spell of pressure from the Ontario forwards, reducing the Selects lead to five.
The tries continued to pour in, as Ben LeSage and Matt Heaton dived over for the Canada Selects before the 30 minute mark. Gordon McRorie added the extras to give the Selects a 27-7 lead.
A late surge from the Arrows before half-time got the travelling side back in the game. Tries from Wainwright and McClelland reducing the Selects lead to only six points at half-time. 27-21.
The second-half continued in similar fashion to the first, as the Canada Selects started the better of the two teams. Luke Campbell and Dustin Dobravsky scoring a try a piece to once again extend the Selects lead.
Possibly, the Arrows player of the match, Aaron McClelland showed his skill to score a second and his team's fourth shortly after the 50 minute mark.
Two further tries from the Selects took the game well out of reach for the Arrows in the final 20 minutes.
The score at the final whistle > Canada Selects 58-28 Ontario Arrows.

Canada Selects vs Ontario Arrows Rosters - Live Streamed at 5pm PT
The return match of Ontario vs Canada Selects takes place on Saturday at Westhills Stadium. The match is reported live streamed on the Rugby Canada's facebook page at 5pm.
Canada have only named XV players not a bench which is strange but apparently there will be an extended bench. No word on whether Ontario Arrows will have an extended bench as well. It seems a lot of money spent to fly a team out from Ontario to play a Canada Select team. There's no information on whether this is part of the budget raised by the new registration tax or whether Ontario Arrows are paying the tab exclusively on this.
Rugby Canada have a slightly stronger roster and Ontario a slightly weaker roster so the expectation is Canada Selects will run the score on this one after a mediocre display of rugby in their 19-0 win in Ontario. The biggest change is in the centres where Nick Blevins and Ben Lesage replace Guiseppe du Toit and Doug Fraser. Gordon McRorie replaces Rob Povey at #10. The 10, 12, 13 combination didn't work last outing for Canada. Steve Ng replaces Martial Lagain at hooker, Lagain struggled at the lineouts in the last match. Ryan Kotlewski replaces Cole Keith at tighthead.
The game is preceded by the Canada U20 vs Fraser Valley U23 team. Fraser Valley U23 lost to Vancouver 23 so Vancouver go on to meet the Island U23 team for the Dunbar Keg in Cowichan on the same day. The feature match in Cowichan is the McKechnie Cup between Vancouver Island and Vancouver, Vancouver Island coached by Sean White and Aaron Frisby, the Vancouver team coached by Curry Hitchborn.
There was an attempt to hold all four games in one venue but Rugby Canada weren't enthusiastic about the idea. The Canada U20 game won't be streamed over concerns it will give the USA an advantage in their preparations.
