Where to Donate Your Rugby Dollars at Christmas Time: A Look at Some of the Canadian Rugby Foundation Tax Deductible Funds that Drive Canadian Rugby Growth in Women's Rugby, U20 Rugby, Indigenous Rugby, National University Championship, National Club Championship Plus Individual Club Funds

This is the time of year for giving so give some thought to donating to one of the many tax deductible funds that are run by the Canadian Rugby Foundation.

Monty Heald Fund

This fund has allowed the women's XVs program to escape the pay to play model. The men's XVs program is heavily subsidized by World Rugby and the Women's 7s program is largely funded through the Own the Podium program but the women's XVs players had to pay to play until the Monty Heald fund came along. Organized by some of the heavy hitters in women's rugby like Stephanie White, Liz Ferguson and Maria Samson this fund will drive Canada's journey to the 2021 World Cup. The University championship just completed its second event while the Club championship had its inaugural event in 2018. These type of initiatives are made possible by the General Fund.
