MLR Updates: Players Vote to Join US Rugby Players Association as Bargaining Unit; Toronto Arrows Feature on TSN Hourly Show
MLR PLayers Attempt to Unionize
GOFF Rugby Report
The United States Rugby Players Association has issued a public call to Major League Rugby to recognize the player union.
The USRPA, which represents the players on the USA national teams (both men and women), has been chosen as the MLR player union after the players voted overwhelmingly to join the organization. The USRPA then asked MLR management to recognize the union as the players' bargaining representative, but that request has apparently been rebuffed.
The Toronto Arrows Rugby Football Club is pleased to announce the launch of Arrows in an Hour, a brand new series that showcases the team’s most exciting Major League Rugby matches in a 60-minute highlight-driven format. The 10-episode series will be exclusively delivered to Canadian audiences through the club’s media partner TSN.
Arrows in an Hour provides detailed hour-long recaps of 10 memorable games from the club’s 2019 and 2020 MLR seasons, highlighting all the top plays from each contest. The series will air on TSN platforms, including the network’s national television feeds, TSN.ca, and the TSN app.
The series will begin on Saturday, May 30 at 11:30 AM ET on TSN3, with the premiere episode revisiting the Arrows’ thrilling final game of the 2019 regular season (Toronto Arrows vs. Rugby United New York; June 2, 2019): The Drop Goal match.
