Shawnigan Lake Win 2012 BC High School 7s Title: CORRECTION posted April 23 2012 [ed. we had incorrectly mentioned that Oak Bay finished 3rd, in fact it was Earl Marriott. Oak Bay were 6th, the correct rankings are below.] Shawnigan repeated as provincial high school 7s champions again this year, defeating St. George's in the final. Tournament winners since 2007 are as follows: Shawnigan 2012, 2011 G.P. Vanier 2010 St. George's 2009, 2007 West Vancouver 2008 Tournament results aren't available on the BCSSRU website at the time of writing but the top six places in the tournament were: 1. Shawnigan 2. St. George's 3. Earl Marriott 4. Glenlyon Norfolk 5. Carson Graham 6. Oak Bay Shawnigan defeated defeated Carson Graham in the quarter-final, then Glenlyon in the semi-final before defeating St. George's 30-7 in the final. Two schools pulled out at the last minute which left the competition at 14 teams.
BC High School 7s Tournament Starts Today @ St. George's posted April 21 2012 The BC high school 7s tournament takes place this weekend with games starting Saturday at noon. Topping the pools are Island champion Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver champion Carson Graham and Fraser Valley champion Earl Marriott. Topping Pool D is the 2nd place Island team, Glenlyon Norfolk.
