Men’s U19 ID Sessions in January on Island and Mainland
BC have historically had strong representation at the men’s U19 level. In 2022 they won the national championship but were defeated by the Atlantic team in 2023. They’ll look to put in a strong performance in 2024 and have announced ID camps for January. Greg Clague will be leading the U19 Men’s Program as Head Coach.
BC BEARS U19 MEN’S ID & DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS ANNOUNCED FOR JANUARY

BC Rugby is delighted to announce two BC Bears U19 Men’s Identification and Development Sessions taking place in January 2024 for all male athletes born in 2005 and 2006.
The 2024 BC Bears U19 Men’s campaign will begin this January with initial Island and Mainland Identification and Development Sessions, as we aim to prepare a BC Bears team to reclaim the Canadian National Championship U19 title.
The Island Session will be held at Westshore RFC on Sunday, January 14 at 12:00pm-3:00pm, with the Mainland Session taking place on Sunday, January 21 – location and time to be confirmed. There is a one-time registration fee of $25 that covers both sessions.
With three of the top University programs in BC, and many of our U19 players competing in the BC Rugby Senior Men’s leagues, there will be strong internal competition to drive selection towards a formidable Bears team next summer.
Greg Clague (Westshore RFC) will lead the U19 Men’s Program as Head Coach, assisted by Dan Haynes (UBCO Heat Rugby) and Noah Pryce-Baff (Kats RFC). They will be supported by several other pathway Coaches in their lead up to the Championships that are due to begin in late July. Rugby Canada is soon to announce the exact dates and locations for the Championships.

All attendees must be registered Members of a Rugby Club.
Pre-registration via the link below is mandatory. On-the-day registrations will not be accepted.
There is a one-time registration fee of $25 to offset associated field costs, provide medical support and lunch on the Saturday.
