Nick Allen Seriously Injured in Indonesia – Go Fund Me Campaign Set Up to Assist Family
A reader sent this in, we’ve also read about it on social media. The fund hopes to collect $200K to help Nick and his family with medical costs. The fund is at $130K currently and needs a little push to reach its goal.

Im not sure if you have already heard, but I want to pass on some distressing news about former UBC Thunderbird and National Sevens Team member, Nick Allen.
Nick has been seriously hurt in a traffic accident while on vacation in Bali, Indonesia. He was knocked unconscious and sustained severe injuries to his head and extremities. He suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and has had emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. His Doctors in Bali have reported that the surgery went well and his condition in stable. Nick is currently being woken from a medically induced coma. This is a slow process, but he is showing small but important improvements.
A group of Nicks friends and teammates are rallying to support Nicks recovery, and have set-up a Go Fund Me page to assist in the substantial medical costs. Rugby Canada and UBC Rugby will be promote the fundraising efforts
