BC Grassroots Rugby and MacDowell Rugby Post Job Openings on Vancouver Island: UPDATE – Kelowna Added to BC Grassroots Job Openings

With the anticipation of local rugby returning a couple of Vancouver Island based organizations are posting job openings.

BC Grassroots Rugby have 36 jobs posted for an 8 week summer period starting July 5th. The positions include team leaders, youth coaches, and indigenous program co-ordinators.

The program lead, Clay Panga, sent this note, “Must be aged 15-30 and have desire to grow the game. Work term is July 5th to August 27th (8 weeks of full time employment) and pay rate is $15.60 per hour for 35 hours per week.”

MacDowell Rugby have an opening for Assistant Coach to be part of their Island Academy operating at Cowichan High School.

This is the information from Robin MacDowell, the program lead.

“The Assistant Coach will join a dynamic team working to deliver a world class experience to student athletes. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach plays a critical role in inspiring students, teaching life skills, delivering technical instruction, and supporting the growth of MacDowell Rugby by playing a leadership role both at the academy and in the community. The Assistant Coach will join us at the inception of the Island Academy, playing a key part in establishing it as the premier destination for youth to develop into rugby professionals.”
