From BC Premier to UFC; BC Premier Week 2 Photographers; Docuseries on Women’s Rugby Team

A few items on the Editor’s Desk this Sunday. Michelle Montague from rugby to MMA professional, the photographers who shoot in the BC Premier and a docuseries on the women’s XVs team set to be released in 2026.

From Rugby to UFC

Michelle Montague spent some time with Velox in the women’s BC Premier, she was part of the VV championship team of 2014-15. She also was tournament MVP when Velox won the Langford 7s in 2015. She returned to NZ after and played for Waikato, Magali Harvey was also on that Waikato team. Ten years later she’s a professional MMA fighter who has a 7-0 record, she just won her UFC Perth match on Saturday. Congrats Michelle. Docuseries on Women’s Rugby Team (2026)

Crave Announces New Original Docuseries Following the Canadian Women’s Rugby Team

Bell Media’s Crave announced today a four-episode order for ALL HEART: CANADA WOMEN’S RUGBY AND THE QUEST FOR RUGBY WORLD CUP GLORY (working title). Produced by Boat Rocker Studios, the Crave Original docuseries offers unprecedented, behind-the-scenes access to the Canadian women’s team, and their journey through Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025. It is set to stream on Crave in 2026, followed by a broadcast on TSN.
