MLR Week 13: 23 Canadians in Action, New England Lead East, Utah Lead West
MLR Round 13 goes from Friday to Monday and in this round, unlike the previous two weeks, there weren’t any double matches for teams. There were 23 Canadians in action, 12 starting and 11 in reserves. New England are ahead in the East division and Utah in the West.
Miami 25 – NOLA 19
NOLA just had Tyler Matchem #18 in reserves. Miami had Josiah Morra on the wing and Shane O’Leary at fullback, in the reserves was Guiseppe du Toit #23. Tyler Matchem subbed on at 8′ and off at 17′ and back on at 72′. Shane O’Leary kicked a conversion at 37′, a penalty at 42′ and 60′. Guiseppe du Toit subbed on at 75′.
New England 27 – Chicago 17
New England had Andrew Quattrin at hooker, Piers von Dadelszen at lock, Cameron Nordli-Kelemeti at scrum-half, Brock Webster at fullback, Ben Lesage at outside centre. In the reserves were Foster Dewitt #16, Josh Larsen #19, Ethan Fryer #20. Chicago had Mason Flesch at lock, in the reserves were Matt Oworu #20 and Jason Higgins #21. Mason Flesch scored a try at 5′. Ethan Fryer subbed on at 51′. Jason Higgins subbed on at 59′. Josh Larsen replaced Piers von Dadelszen at 59′. Cameron Nordli-Kelemeti scored a try at 62′. Matt Oworu subbed on at 63′. Foster Dewitt replaced Andrew Quattrin at 63′.
Houston 27 – San Diego 20
Neither team had Canadian players.
LA 45 – Anthem 17
LA had Seth Purdey starting on the wing, Matt Heaton #20 in the reserves. Anthem didn’t have any Canadian players. Matt Heaton subbed on at 35′, off at 40′ and back on at 67′.
Seattle 28 – Utah 24
Utah had Reid Davis starting at lock and Nic Benn on the wing, Emerson Prior #17 and Tyler Wong #20 were in the reserves. Seattle had Dewald Kotze starting at hooker and Jesse Mackail #16 in the reserves. Tyler Wong came on for Reid Davis at 5′. Emerson Prior subbed on at 58′. Tyler Wong subbed off at 64′. Jesse Mackail replaced Dewald Kotze at 75′.
