An article on the Brazil Rugby Union site announced the Americas Rugby Trophy, a 3 country competition between Chile, Brazil and Canada. Canada will play Chile on Friday, October 21st and Brazil on Wednesday, October 26th. The announcement notes that the games are development in nature and that the matches will be basically “A” games and not capped.
The following are match reports from 3 of the 4 Coastal Cup teams, UBC, TWU and UVic. The only match report missing is from the Pacific Pride, the Rugby Canada Academy team.
There were two draws this week, and a couple of return to form performances from UBC and Pacific Pride, the Ravens continue to roll and Seattle notch a road win.

Sure she’s listed as NZR in the World Rugby program to denote she’s representing NZ Rugby but she’s Canadian, she travelled to NZ on a student visa in 2014 to start a new adventure and ended up staying there, well except for the trips back home to visit family at Christmas.

LANGLEY, B.C. It was a massive 37-26 victory over Pacific Pride for Trinity Western at the Willoughby Community Park on Saturday. Tamilore Awonusi (Dublin, Ireland) led the Spartans with two tries while Matthew Willemse (Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) converted on all four TWU tries to go with three penalties for a team-high 17 points.
Again a brief reminder of the regional aspect of the Premier matches, on the Island they’re playing for the Barnard Cup (CW, JBAA, Westshore) which was first awarded in 1911, the Academies/Universities are playing for the Coastal Cup (UBC, UVic, TWU, Pride), the Mainland teams are doing their thing, there was a Mainland Cup, but some teams are treating the 6 week regional as a Premier warm-up season.
