PNW Loggers Win “Border Cup” Over BC Bears U18 33-25: Match Video

Match Summary
BC came out strong and spent most of the first period inside Loggers half.
BC up 12-11 at half. Penalties against BC lead to some territorial gains.
Both teams struggled defending inside of 22m where most of the tries were scored.
Scrum advantage to BC. Lineout advantage to Loggers.
Second half saw more open field runs in the backs. Many overlaps spoiled by handling errors.
Loggers had a run from their 22 quickly out to the wing resulting in a try under the posts.
BC immediately returned with a restart collected on the 10m surprising the Loggers with no deep defenders for a try.
Very even match, either team could have finished victorious.

BC Bears U18 vs PNW Loggers for “The Border Cup” on Saturday at 2:30 pm at Chuckanut Bay Rugby Club
The BC Bears U18 team will be heading south across the border to play the rep side from the Pacific Northwest, USA at the Chuckanut Bay Rugby Club, Ferndale in Washington State. The game kicks off at 2:30pm. Google maps says it’s a 30 minute drive from White Rock, BC to the rugby fields in Ferndale so Vancouver rugby fans have a good excuse for a road trip on Saturday.
