We did a follow up interview with Curry Hitchborn on what was happening with “high-performance” rugby in BC, that interview is below. First some editorial observations, the BCRU, like Rugby Canada, is in some disarray right now. Aaron Takel who was the high-performance lead on the men’s side has left the BCRU to pursue a teaching career at Collingwood HS, we wish him all the best.
BCRN: Hi Scott, you’ve just stepped into the UVic men’s coaching role, replacing their long time coach Doug Tate. How has the adjustment period been, anything catch you by surprise in the first few weeks?
BCRN: Hi Brian, I understand you’ve started a new venture called The Off-Field Rugby Coach, could you give us an overview of the concept?
BCRN: You’ve been named the coaches of the Vancouver Island Crimson Tide men’s program for the upcoming season. Nanyak as head coach and Sean as assistant coach. Congratulations on that.
