New York Win MLR Title 2022: Video Highlights
New York defeated Seattle in the MLR final 30-15. Scoring for New York were Will Tucker, Andy Ellis, Nic Mayhew plus a 7 point penalty try when Seattle pulled down a maul that was crossing the line. Jason Emery kicked a conversion and penalty and Sam Windsor added a drop goal. Seattle scorers were Martin Iosefo and Sam Metenga, Alatimu added a conversion and penalty.
Travis Larsen made the stats with the fourth highest tackle count (16) for Seattle and Andrew Coe made the stats for NY with the fourth highest running metres (76). Reid Watkins received plaudits from Seattle fans when he entered the match at scrum half. Attendance was about 2,000.

The MLR Final is being played on the east coast out of Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. The kickoff translates to 9am PT on the west coast.
There are four Canadian players in the rosters. Travis Larsen starting at openside flanker for Seattle with Reid Watkins as reserve scrum half. New York have Andrew Coe starting on the wing and Quinn Ngawati as a backline reserve. Of the four only Quinn has been selected on this summer’s Canada long list for matches against Belgium and Spain.
Seattle won the title the first two years, 2018 and 2019. 2020 was cancelled by COVID and LA won the 2021 title.
