Week 9 Results: San Diego, Toronto, Austin, Atlanta, LA and DC Claim Wins
A few Canadian highlights in the wins this week. For San Diego, Michael Smith helped his national selection chances with a strong 80 minutes at openside flanker in their strong win over NOLA. For Toronto, Will Kelly put his hand up for consideration as he got his first start at #10. At LA Corey Thomas continues to impress going a full 80 in the engine room and scoring a try. At DC, Doug Fraser marked his return to the lineup at #13 with a try.
Week 10 sees LA @ Austin for a short turn around match on Wednesday evening 5pm PT. On Saturday it’s Utah @ NOLA 5pm PT and DC @ Houston 5pm PT. On Sunday it’s NE @ NY 11am PT and Atlanta @ Seattle 5pm PT.

Toronto features 11 Canada-eligible players in their starting XV, a season high. Will Kelly gets his first start at #10 as does Spencer Jones at #12. Ciulini and Wadden get the start in the second row. Tyler Rowland starts at tighthead. Houston sees Robbie Povey starting at #10.

Quinn Ngawati starts on the outside for New York and Cole Davis and Moe Abdelmonem are on the Reserves for Austin.

LA features Corey Thomas starting in the second row, DTH is on the Reserves. There’s no sign of Lindsey Stevens the Canada-eligible hooker in the LA 23. Utah haven’t published their roster yet. Update: Fraser Hurst is in the Reserves for Utah.

Luke Campbell gets the start at blindside for DC with Doug Fraser at centre. Seattle only has one Canadian in the roster, Jake Ilnicki, as reserve prop.
