Premier Rugby Sevens Kicks Off on Saturday: Schedule and List of Canadian Players and Coaches

The Premier Rugby Sevens series kicks off this weekend in California. It’s a closed competition that features four teams, the Loonies, Loggerheads, Experts and Headliners. The Loonies have some Canadian coaching staff, the men’s team head coach is Sean White and the women’s assistant coach is Robin McDowell.

There are Canadian players sprinkled throughout the four teams. Here are some Canadian names we’ve recognized:

The match schedule is posted below. Their Facebook feed says it’s free to view, pointing to the Instagram account of @fubosports. The website link they give there is fubosportsnetwork.com. If you visit that website from Canada you’re told to sign up for a fubo.tv account which isn’t free. If you visit the website from the USA, or from Canada through a USA location with VPN, then you can watch the content for free.

They’re holding the tournament on a weekend with a lot of international rugby, so it will be interesting to see their viewing numbers. Next weekend the tournament moves to Washington D.C. and finishes off on the 30th of the month in Austin.
