UBC Ranked #1 in Men’s University, Queen’s Ranked #1 in Women’s University – Overview and Rankings
Both the men’s and women’s University championship are on the horizon. The women are first with UBC hosting the championship between October 29th and November 2nd. They are defending champions but have been beaten twice by UVic in the CanWest conference. They currently sit in 5th place in the national rankings, UVic are ranked 3rd with Queen’s and Laval sitting at #1 and #2.
The men’s championship takes place between November 12th and 16th and will be hosted by defending champions ETS in Montreal. UBC are currently ranked #1 with ETS ranked #2, UVic sit at #4 with Guelph occupying #3.
2024 Results
In 2024 ETS won the men’s title defeating Queen’s in the final, ETS had defeated UBC in the semi-final in a close 1 point match. UBC went on to claim 3rd by defeating Guelph. UVic placed 5th in the tournament, losing their early quarter-final to Queen’s by 2 points.
In the 2024 women’s championship UVic made the final by upsetting Laval in the quarter-finals and Queen’s in the semi-final. UBC powered through their early matches over PEI and Ottawa and defeated UVic in the final 8-3.
