Overview of League Standings from Premier to U18
Peter is on vacation this week so I’ll just do a run through on the leagues from Premier to U18. The scores and tables are on the PlayHQ system, that’s the system that BCRU and Rugby Canada have switched to this season. The BCRU tables aren’t always up to date, for example in men’s BC Premier they still have the Ravens at 14 points instead of 15, we keep an accurate men’s BC Premier table here. The PlayHQ system can be accessed here.
Keeping an eye on defaults/forfeits and perusing last week’s results, the men’s Premier and Div 1 looks healthy. The women’s Premier had one 20-0 result as Ravens struggle to find numbers. In women’s Div 1 there were no anomalies, although in Week 3 there was a 20-0 result CW over Lomas. In men’s Div 2 the Kamloops v Richmond game was marked as cancelled, Kamloops have had two home games forfeited/defaulted by visiting teams, Scribes defaulted in Week 1, as did Richmond in their Week 1 match vs United. In women’s Div 2 Richmond defaulted to Westshore 20-0 last week, also in Week 1 to Chilliwack 20-0. In men’s Div 3 the Rogues have a 20-0 defeat recorded in Week 1. So it seems overall clubs are able to fulfil their men’s Premier and Div 1 fixtures to date, a few clubs struggling in other divisions to put together match numbers.
