Week 5 Results with Canadian Players Listed: Austin Remain Undefeated; Wins for New Orleans, Utah, Atlanta, Austin, New England, San Diego: MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

As we noted after Week 2, Austin look the team to beat this year and are the only undefeated side now. The following are the match results, Canadian players in the rosters, match highlights and the standings after Week 5.

March 4

Seattle Seawolves 24 v New Orleans Gold 25 @ Starfire Stadium

For Seattle who are 3-1 and 3rd in the West, Nakai Penny starts at openside flanker. Travis Larsen and Reid Watkins are on the bench.

For NOLA at 0-3 and 5th in the East, Eric Howard is on the bench covering the hooker spot.

Utah Warriors 69 v Dallas Jackals 22 @ Zions Bank Stadium

For Utah at 0-3 and 6th in the West, there are no Canadians in the roster.

For Dallas at 0-4 and 7th in the West, there are no Canadians in the roster.

Rugby ATL 29 v Houston SaberCats 22 @ Silverbacks Park

For Atlanta at 2-1 and 2nd in the East, Matt Heaton starts at openside and Conor Keys is on the reserves as second row. Matt Heaton scored a try for Atlanta.

For Houston at 2-2 and 4th in the West, Rob Povey is in the backline reserves.

Austin Gilgronis 22 v LA Giltinis 9 @ Bold Stadium

For LA who are 2-1 and 5th in the West, only Corey Thomas suits up this weekend as starting #8. No sign of Ben LeSage or Djustice Sears-Duru in the match 23. DTH has yet to make an appearance this year.

For Austin at 4-0 and top of the West, they haven’t released their roster but Cole Davis is the only Canadian on the extended squad and he hasn’t appeared yet in the match day rosters.

Rugby New York 29 v New England Free Jacks 38 @ JFK Stadium

For New England at 2-1 and 3rd in the East, Foster Dewitt gets the start at hooker and Josh Larsen at second row. Reegan O’Gorman is on the bench.

New York are 3-0 and top of the East. Andrew Coe starts on the wing, Quinn Ngawati is in the reserves. Andrew Coe scored 2 tries in the match.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

San Diego Legion 24 v Old Glory DC 12 @ SDSU Sports Deck

San Diego at 3-1 are 2nd in the West. Michael Smith starts at openside, Kainoa Lloyd starts on the wing, and Josh Thiel is in the reserves.

Old Glory at 0-4 are 6th in the East. Doug Fraser starts on the wing, Luke Campbell starts at #8 and Jake Ilnicki is in the front row reserves.
