Week 16 Results: 32 Canada-Eligible Players in Action
There are two weeks left in the regular season and the playoff bound teams have been set in the West with Houston claiming top spot, followed by Seattle, San Diego and Dallas. In the East there’s New England, New Orleans, DC and Chicago in the top four spots with Miami still mathematically alive but looking doubtful for a playoff spot. There were 32 Canada-eligible players in action, 18 starting and 14 in reserves.
Old Glory 36 – Dallas 34
DC had all three Canadian players in the reserves, Gradyn Bowd, Cali Martinez and Tyler Rowland. Dallas had three Canadian starters Nic Benn, Mitch Richardson and Liam Murray, in the reserves were Brock Gallagher, Kyle Steeves, Connor Grindal.
Houston 28 – Seattle 25
There were no Canadians in the match.
New England 36 – Utah 27
New England had five Canadian starters, Kyle Baillie, Andrew Quattrin, Conor Keys, Piers von Dadelszen, Ben Lesage, and three in reserves Cole Keith, Foster Dewitt, Cameron Nordli-Kelemeti. Utah had Emerson Prior starting and Rob Povey in reserves.
Miami 30 – Anthem 14
Miami had Avery Oitomen starting and Guiseppe du Toit in the reserves. Anthem had Logan Weidner in reserves.
New Orleans 38 – LA 21
Callum Botchar started for NOLA, his fourth start in a row. LA had Andrew Coe, Conor Young and Matt Heaton starting with Jack Shaw in reserves. Matt Heaton and Andrew Coe both scored tries for LA and Callum Botchar was top tackler for NOLA with 11 tackles.
Chicago 22 – San Diego 16
Chicago had Lucas Rumball, Mason Flesch starting and Jason Higgins in reserves. San Diego had Djustice Sears-Duru and Blair Cowan starting.
