Gday everyone, my name is Travis. I currently play professional rugby in the United States of America and as much as I enjoy chasing an oval shaped ball around a field, travel is my main passion and the activity that brings the most enjoyment to my life. Travel has taught me so much and helped me become a better person so I have decided to start this blog in the hope that it would encourage some people to pack their backpacks and explore this beautiful world that we live in. Since leaving New Zealand I have managed to travel to over 50 countries on a very limited budget and am excited to share with you what I have learnt along the way to make this possible. My plan is to not become some glorified fake Instagram influencer that sugar-coats everything, youll be getting straight up honesty. If a place or activity is average at best, I wont hesitate to call it that, but I hope to be mainly positive in my goal of showing you all how traveling the world is both easy and affordable. As a bloke with a fairly un-athletic natural body, I will also be sharing some of the tips and tricks to training and eating on the road that I have learnt whilst both travelling around during my off season and trying to stay in professional rugby playing shape.
Travis shows up a number of times in our database, the latest being June 2021 when he was starting for the Seattle Seawolves in the MLR in their match against Austin. He had recently been traded from the San Diego Legion. He first shows up in our stories in November 2016 when he was called into Canada’s tour when Aaron Carpenter broke his radius in the Ireland match. He had played for Canada A in August of that year. He played for James Bay in 2017 and also for the BC Bears that year. He also suited up for Canada A in the Americas Pacific Challenge in 2017. It was more of the same in 2018, James Bay, BC Bears and Canada A before moving to Austin in the MLR in 2019.
