UBC Men’s Rugby Academy (16 to 19) Starts May 18th – Options for Tuesday and/or Thursday Evenings: Registration Open

If you’re a young rugby player between 16 and 19 with aspirations to play high performance rugby at university, in the MLR or for the national team then you should probably tap into the UBC Academy.

UBC has been one of the main suppliers to the Canada U20 men’s team and several of its players have moved onto MLR teams including Michael Smith (San Diego), Fraser Hurst (Utah), Nakai Penny (Seattle) and Ben LeSage (Toronto).

Leading the Academy is Curry Hitchborn who is well respected in the rugby coaching community and has contacts throughout the MLR.

The UBC Rugby Academy is looking for aspiring players aged 16 to 19 who wish to further develop their core skills, technical skills, game knowledge and awareness along with strength & conditioning in a performance sport environment.

With on-going player tracking and development, the Academy engages emerging athletes as they prepare for their future rugby aspirations – University, Club, Region, Province, National or Internationally.

Academy staff are dedicated members of the UBC men’s program and represent over 50+ years of community to national levels of coaching.
