Spring Season Starts This Weekend in Men Div 1, 2, 3 and Womens Div 1, 2; Premier Starts Next Weekend
Rugby restarts this weekend in all divisions except Premier, which starts next weekend. The current standings going into the spring schedule are listed here.
Men’s Div 1
The top 4 teams from the Island and Mainland conferences get into the playoffs. Currently Meraloma lead the Mainland conference and Nanaimo lead the Island conference.
Winners this weekend were Meraloma, Burnaby, Ravens, UBC, Westshore, and Port Alberni. Details on the BCRU Results page. We’ll post updated standings on Monday.
Women’s Div 1
The top 6 teams get into the playoffs with 1 & 2 getting first round byes. Currently Meraloma and Abbotsford are undefeated.
Winners were James Bay, Meraloma, the Capilano result hasn’t been reported yet.
Men’s Div 2
The top 8 teams get into the playoffs, Kamloops are the only undefeated side in the competition.
Winners were Kats, Kelowna, Ridge Meadows, the remaining matches haven’t been reported as of Sunday evening.
Women’s Div 2
The top 8 teams get into the playoffs, Cowichan and UBC are the undefeated teams going into the 2nd half of the season.
Nanaimo, Simon Fraser won their matches, Rowers v Westshore was a draw, the remaining matches haven’t been reported as of Sunday evening.
Men’s Div 3
All 7 teams make the playoffs but top spot gets a first round bye, currently the Squamish team sit top of the standings.
Langley and Burnaby Lake won their matches.
