Pacific Pride – Spring 2025

A Look at the Pacific Pride Squad for Spring 2025: 6 Players Leaving, 3 to MLR; 9 Additions Including 3 from U18 2024 Camps

We compared our Pacific Pride list from the start of the fall season 2024, 6 have moved on (3 to MLR). There are 9 new players but include 3 returning players, 2 started late in the fall and 1 is returning from previous seasons. There are 3 players from the U18 camps held in 2024, 2 from Ontario universities and 1 from the Welsh Premier.

Some of the players not returning for the spring season have moved on to or are returning to MLR contracts. Tyler Matchem with New Orleans, Neil Trainor with Charlotte, Noah Flesch with Chicago. We’re not sure yet where Sam Miller, Ben James and Charles Taimani will show up in the spring season.

New Players

Mason MacDonald

From Calgary he showed up in October for the Pacific Pride so wasn’t on our original fall 2024 list, plays second row.

Logan Harris

Again showed up in October for the Pride so didn’t show up in our original fall 2024 list, plays loose forward.

Karl Hunger

Played for the Highlanders, then Burnaby in the fall 2024, now with the Pride to start 2025. Plays 2nd row. He played with the Pride from 2022-2024 and then signed for a brief stint with Dallas in the MLR. Might end up back in the MLR before the season ends.

Daniel Lucic

From the Guelph Gryphons, plays front row.

Glenn Roy

Another front row player, from University of Ottawa [ed. Glenn is a centre, his brother Evan is front row]

Daniel Muzaliwa

From University of Waterloo, a scrum half, and was invited to the U18 camp in 2024.

Jamin Hodgkins

He was playing in the Welsh Premier last year with Bridgend Ravens, plays #10, and on the “one to watch” list. Played Canada U20 and was on the standby list for the Pacific Nations Cup last year.

Adam Stander

Also in the U18 camp in 2024, plays for the Oakville Crusaders in the backs.

Stephen Samuel

From Calgary, played linebacker with Acadia Axemen in 2024, was also at the U18 camp in 2024. He’s listed in the backs.
