Week 5 wrapped up with the two undefeated sides, Meraloma and Pacific Pride, maintaining their perfect record. The two university sides, UVic and UBC, are competing in the Canadian University Championships and will meet in the final on Sunday.

Canada Ride Dominant Forward Performance to a 40-15 Win Over Brazil
Canada (#23) defeated Brazil (#26) 40-15 to claim 3rd place in the La Vila tournament. USA (#18) defeated Spain (#19) 42-12 to win the tournament, Spain came second.

Dog River Howlers U17 Team Win Torneo Colombo – Canadiense 2023 Tournament
The boys U17 team that travelled to Colombia won the Torneo Colombo – Canadiense tournament against U18 teams including the Colombian national U18 team.

Spain Build 35-6 Half Time Lead and Cruise to 42-20 Final Score
It was game over for Canada at half time as Spain ran in 5 tries, all converted, to lead 35-6 at the break. Canada kicked two penalties during the first 40.

Canadian Classics Finish 4th in Bermuda Tournament with Loss to Classic Springboks – Argentina 1st, France 2nd
Classic Springboks won the Plate courtesy of a 17-8 triumph over Rugby Canada. Former Springboks flyhalf Morne Steyn was the star of the show for the South Africans, scoring a try, two conversions and a penalty to finish with a points haul of 12.
