With the release this week of the men’s Premier schedule for the spring of 2022, we’ve put some numbers to the unbalanced schedule to derive a figure to indicate the relative difficulty of each team’s schedule.

Jamie Cudmore will take over the Newfoundland provincial coaching role. He’s moving, along with his family, from an island on the far west coast of Canada to one about 5,000 km away on the Canadian east coast. For Jennifer Cudmore, Jamie’s wife, it’s a move home and to family.
The Junior Championships were held on Sunday to close out the BC Fall Season. The Island championships were held at Cowichan, the Mainland championships were held at UBC. Posted below are the results reported by the BCRU on their Results page.
The BC club season wraps up this Sunday with the Junior championships. The mainland tournament will be held at UBC Thunderbird Stadium and the island tournament at the Cowichan Rugby Club.
It has been an interesting week around coaching and women’s rugby. Kelly Russell was highlighted by World Rugby in an article about the Maple Leaf Academy. The article is here. Does the timing have anything to do with the pending announcement of who will be the senior women’s 7s coach? We’ll see.
A team of Coastal Cup Selects, labeled as Rugby Canada West Selects, will take on the Seattle Seawolves on January 28th. The Seawolves will take on the UBCOB Ravens the weekend before. The games likely won’t be live streamed as Seattle have already stated there will be “Play-by-play tweet and score updates”, interpreted that means no live stream.
