Canada Men Finish 12th at Dubai; Women Finish in 8th Place: Match Replays

A worrying time for the men’s program as they share bottom of the standings with Japan now, losing to Japan this tournament. Is it time to look at the coaching of the team at this point, does the team need rejuvenation, leaving things as they are looks like a formula for relegation. With the men’s XVs program relegated from the World Cup for the first time, under a foreign coach, are the men’s 7s to follow the same fate? Some decisive action is required.

This is a transition year for both the men’s and women’s programs as new players are tested out on the international circuit. The danger for Canada is that if the quality is too low they could be relegated from the series the following year.

Sad News – Steve “Sanchez” Taylor Tragic Passing: Fundraising Page for Family

It is with great sadness that we inform club members of the tragic passing of Steve “Sanchez” Taylor. Sanchez was tragically killed in the mudslide on Highway 99 last week. The Capilano Rugby Club offers its heartfelt condolences to the entire Taylor family. We will very much miss having Sanchez around Klahanie Park. Canada Defeat Wales 24-7 Despite Red Card – Strong Second Half Comeback: VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

Canada’s Senior Women’s 15s faced Wales at Cardiff Arms Park on November 21st, earning a 24-7 win in their final Fall fixture, presented by DHL Rugby. Canada overcame a first half red card and put forth a dominant second half of play to collect their third win from four matches this Fall.
