Canada Men and Women Make Finals of Emirates Invitational 7s Week 2: Women Lose to France; Men Lose to Argentina

A better result for the men in the 2nd tournament. Canada beat France 29-10 on Day 2 to make the final. They lost to Argentina 26-19 in the final. Argentina won both men’s tournaments in Dubai.

Canada Women Win Gold with Victory Over USA: Men Win Plate Final Over Chile

After watching the first matches on Day 2 where Canada’s women lost to France and the men to Kenya, there was a little bit of trepidation about the programs progress over the break. However by the end of the day with the women winning Gold and the men winning the Plate, it looked as if things were on course and as they were before COVID hit.

World Rugby Reveals Seven Series Plans for 2021 – Langford Out, Vancouver in Discussion for September

World Rugby have announced their plans for the World Sevens Series for 2021. As we have seen before, plans in the COVID era are just that – plans, they can change very quickly. The plan includes the Olympics going ahead which is something that isn’t 100% confirmed at this time. The latest news indicates the Olympics will likely go ahead but without foreign fans allowed into the country.
