Week 12 Results: 29 Canada-Eligible Players in Action
Week 12 of MLR wrapped up with 29 Canada-eligible players in action, 16 starters and 13 in reserves. Mitch Richardson and Dewald Kotze of the Dallas Jackals became the first Canadian players to reach 11 starts in the season. There are 6 weeks left in the regular season.
LA 33 – Anthem 29
All 6 of LA’s Canadian players were in the roster, starting were Andrew Coe, Jack Shaw, Matt Heaton, Reegan O’Gorman and Seth Purdey, in the reserves was Conor Young. For Anthem Logan Weidner was in the reserves. Andrew Coe had the top Running Metres stat for LA with 94 metres.
New Orleans 21 – Utah 14
Callum Botchar was in the reserves for NOLA while Utah had Emerson Prior in the reserves.
Houston 23 – Chicago 22
Chicago had Mason Flesch in reserves, there’s been no sign of Lucas Rumball for the last 5 weeks. Houston had no Canada-eligible players.
New England 24 – San Diego 23
New England had 9 Canada-eligible players in the roster, starting were Josh Larsen, Conor Keys, Piers von Dadelszen, Ben Lesage, Cameron Nordli-Kelemeti – in the reserves were Kyle Baillie, Foster Dewitt, Ethan Fryer, Isaac Olson. San Diego had Blair Cowan starting and Djustice Sears-Duru in reserves. Scoring for New England was Piers Von Dadelszen. Top tacklers in the game were Blair Cowan (21) and Kyle Baillie (16).
Dallas 14 – Seattle 7
Dallas had 7 Canada-eligible players in the roster, starting were Dewald Kotze, Mitch Richardson, Kyle Steeves, Nic Benn – in the reserves were Connor Grindal, Brock Gallagher, Liam Murray. Seattle had Reid Davis in the starting XV. Nic Benn scored a try for Dallas.
