BC Rugby is delighted to confirm the return of the McKechnie Cup and Dunbar Keg Regional Cup competitions, with the opening three rounds of matches taking place November 26-December 10.
On Saturday the Surrey Beavers Ruck for the Cure event raised a record total of over $ 16,500 for Cancer research and to support some local survivors. This was the 9th Annual event for the Beavers and their first Ruck for the Cure event since Covid19.

Week 1 of the 2022-23 rugby season is coming up this Saturday. Yes, once again, Saturday is a rugby day in BC.
The BC Bears won the Shield Final over Team Germany 21-7 to finish 12th in the tournament. Perhaps not the ranking they were expecting going into the tournament but as their tournament description states, “This programs goal is to provide a competition pathway for BC players to gain experience and showcase themselves towards National team selections.”
The BC Rugby season is just over 3 weeks away and we’ll take a look at some key dates and changes. The BCRU haven’t filled in their fixtures page yet so always check there for any last minute changes.

A good result for BC as they maintain their strong winning record at the U19 level. At least six of the BC players will continue on next weekend for Canada U20 as they host Zimbabwe, Chile and Uruguay.
