A lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
Canada can rise to #2 in the World Rugby rankings overtaking NZ on Sunday with a win over France. The result of the NZ vs Ireland match won’t improve NZ’s World Rugby ranking due to the large ranking difference between NZ and Ireland.
Canada have reduced their 35 player training camp list by cutting 6 players and adding one that wasn’t on the original training camp list.

The tournament features the top women’s teams in the World, competing at the tournament will be #1 England, #2 NZ, #3 Canada, #4 France, #7 USA, #10 Ireland. There will be 6 games at BC Place and 3 games at Willoughby Stadium in Langley. Tickets go on sale on July 25th.

It was looking ominous in the first half with NZ scoring two tries from the backline and leading 14-10 at the half. As usual for Canada it was the forwards and the maul that did the damage on attack, setting up all three Canadian tries.
The starting front row scored all of Canada’s tries in a display of forwards power. The win puts Canada at 2-0 on the series and guarantees them a place in the WXV1 they are hosting later this year.
