Byrne Creek Hosting Invitational High School 7s Tournament Friday to Sunday at South Surrey Athletic Park: Pools & Live Stream Links

Byrne Creek are hosting an Invitational High School 7s tournament this coming weekend at South Surrey Athletic Park. The Junior tournament is Friday April 21, the Senior tournament is Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23. Matches run from 10am to 5:30pm on Friday, 11:30am to 5:30pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. There are two fields in action each day.

Upright Rugby Academy Win First Match in UK – Tour Update

Amidst partially sunny skies and cooler climes in the northeast part of London, England, Upright Rugby took to the field against Wansted RFC. This was first match in Upright’s first ever 15s rugby tour, a team which is comprised of a mix of players primarily based in Oakville, Ontario, where many of them train with the Upright Rugby Academy nearly year-round.

BC U18 Teams Wrap Up Tournament: Girls 2-3 Finish in 11th/12th, Boys 0-5 Finish in 15th/16th

[ed. update Japan SDS (Sevens Development Squad) won the girls title defeating the NZ and Australian U18 teams, a big upset. On the boys side it was the expected result, NZ U18 team winning.]

BC Junior Club Finals

Provincial U16 Club Finals Wrap Up with Langley Winning Girls and Bayside Winning Boys: U18 Girls Final This Coming Weekend at Cowichan

The four Provincial championships were originally to be held Dec 4th at Cowichan but freezing weather and snow north of the Malahat changed plans. The U16 titles were able to go ahead in Oak Bay and were won by Langley (girls) and Bayside (boys). The BCRU write up on the day is posted below.
