Week 13 saw the largest number of Canadians participating, mostly due to the Toronto Arrows starting 13 Canadian players, a season high for them.
Only four matches in the MLR this week. San Diego furthers their lead in the west (49) going 10 points ahead of Seattle (39) who have a game in hand. New England continues to lead the east (38) with Old Glory taking 2nd (29) and NY holding onto 3rd place (28).
San Diego (40) lead the West with Houston (36), Seattle (34), and Utah (28) still in the race. In the East, New England (34) lead the pack with DC (25), New York (23), NOLA (21), Atlanta (20) still in the race.
San Diego have gone top of the standings in the West with Houston, Seattle and Utah giving chase. In the East, New England continues to lead with NY, Atlanta and DC in the chasing pack.
There were 31 Canadians in action in the MLR this week, 17 starters and 14 reserves. San Diego displaced Seattle at the top of the Western Conference while New England continue to lead the Eastern Conference.
There were two new Canadian players added to the MLR list as D’Shawn Bowen and Dawson Fatoric moved from the Pacific Pride/7s program to the Toronto Arrows. Also we added Will Grant who is a Canada eligible scrum half playing for Toronto. That brings the total number of Canadian players who are allocated to MLR teams to 63, this week 38 players got on the rosters with 20 getting the start. The spreadsheet below shows the stats up to Week 7.
Seattle remain the only undefeated side in the MLR after Week 6. There were 29 Canadians in the rosters, 19 starting.
San Diego went top of the West with their win over Atlanta but Seattle had a bye and have a game in hand. Seattle are the only undefeated team in the league. In the East it’s New England who go clear at the top with their defeat of New York and Atlanta’s loss to San Diego.
Seattle remain the only undefeated team in the league after defeating Houston on the weekend. Nakai Penny started for the Seawolves. They are one point clear of San Diego in the West standings.
In the East, New York, Atlanta and New England are tied atop the standings with 10 points. Toronto won their first match of the season and are tied with New Orleans at the bottom of the standings.
With Toronto and New England having byes, teams that have the most Canadian players on the roster, there were only 13 Canadians in action this weekend, and only 4 starters.
